In 1999, Liberty Tattoo opened its doors on ‘’The Ave’ in the University District, and quickly established itself as Seattle’s most reputable no nonsense ‘traditional’ street shop. After 15 years, the shop moved to Queen Anne, and 5 years later moved again to the Chinatown International District, and now Belltown where it resides today.
Liberty Tattoo specializes in all styles of tattooing, from classic Americana, to fine line black & grey, lettering of all types , as well as large scale Japanese work. The shop is home to 4 resident artists Trevor Taylor (owner), Vinse 1, Jake Whitson, who have all worked at Liberty for well over a decade, and the newest edition Rocky Lee from NYC. Liberty Tattoo also hosts world-renowned guest artists on a regular basis.
The shop is open Tues - Sunday from noon until 8pm. Inside you’ll find one of the largest collections of original antique hand-painted tattoo flash & tattoo related memorabilia around. Liberty also produces some of the most popular merch in the tattoo industry, which is for sale at the shop and online.
